Provider updates

Each year CareOregon Dental sets improvement goals and targets while supporting the goals and targets at the state level, and our network is always up for the challenge. 2018 was no different, and as the numbers roll in, there is much work to be celebrated:

• Nearly 31,000 CareOregon Dental members saw a dentist
• Over 24,000 of those received a comprehensive dental exam
• Over 2,000 members received care from our specialty network
• Over 600 members received dentures
• Over 10,000 children received a dental cleaning
• Over 4,000 CareOregon Dental children had dental sealants placed, and we met our state Incentive Measure goal for the 3^rd year in a row
• 94% of CareOregon Dental children entering DHS custody received an oral health assessment within 60 days of placement, meeting our state Incentive Measure goal

Meeting and/or exceeding these goals is why more and more CareOregon Dental members receive great dental care each year. Additionally, meeting the state incentive measures, like children ages 6-14 receiving sealants, oral health assessments for children entering DHS custody, and – new this year – oral exams for adults with diabetes, also supports our most vulnerable community members. This work furthers our region’s mission to improve health, eliminate disparities, and emphasize preventative care.
