On January 1, 2021, The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) discontinued using the Dental Rulebook to depict OHP dental benefit limitations. To replace the Rulebook, OHA created a new Oregon Medicaid Covered and Non-Covered Dental Codes searchable database. The database has been updated with 2021 codes, and many details regarding coverage and limitations can be found for each CDT code.
OHA rules pertaining to dental services may be found on the Secretary of State (SOS) website. Both the database and the dental Oregon Administrative Rules (OARs) can also be accessed from the Oregon Health Plan Dental Services Program webpage. Additionally, OHA created a helpful job aide showing how to use the searchable database.
