Clackamas Health Center (CHC) Backpacks for Kids Incentive
Clackamas Health Center (CHC) strategically orchestrated incentivized oral health outreach to all children, aged 0-14, using CareOregon Dental lists.
They hosted two Saturday youth clinics; one event took place at the Sunnyside dental office and the other at the Beavercreek office. Outreach for the event aligned with incentive letters and gift card mailings, and the grand prize was a backpack giveaway! The winners were drawn from the pool of kids who attended the events.
Two backpacks were gifted. Each included a cornucopia of back-to-school goodies - a water bottle, ream of paper, pencils, markers, and ruler.
The excitement was palpable for one lucky winner, 9-year-old Adrian, who was so excited at the prospect of winning that he woke up in the morning and immediately asked his mom if she had received a call about the backpack!
The events were successful, and they saw a total of 46 kids for cleanings, exams and preventive dental services. The dental team had a great time and hope to duplicate the event in the future.
