Welcome Shayla
CareOregon Dental is thrilled to welcome our newest team member, Shayla Lawson, Dental Access and Referral Specialist.
Shayla had her first set of braces when she was 6 years old. The office staff at her clinic were “so nice and beautiful and made (her) feel beautiful about her teeth.” They inspired her. From that young age, she knew she wanted to work “in the mouth”.
Shayla entered the Dental Assisting program at Rogue Community College directly out of high school. She earned her radiology license and graduated with honors as a Registered Dental Assistant. She was then directly hired by the same doctor’s office that, as a child, inspired her to enter the field!
She is excited to be in her new role, still working in oral health and doing so from home with her dogs at her feet. You’ll get to know Shayla personally as she works to process authorizations and referrals, ensuring timely access to our members.
