Matthew Hatch, MS: Dental Operations Manager
CareOregon Dental welcomes Matthew Hatch, our new Operations Manager. Matthew oversees our provider network. He is the primary support for the Dental Access and Referral Team, and is principal contact for network access and adequacy, referral compliance, and provider relationships.
Matt hails from Western Washington. He earned a Political Science & Government BA from Western Washington University and moved to Portland the following year. He took a job at The Garlington Community Wellness Center under Cascadia Health (Formerly Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare). Hired as an Operations Coordinator, he later transitioned to an Operations Analyst role, and ultimately became Business Systems & QI Manager.
While 2020 was transitional for all, it was extra eventful for Matt. He graduated OHSU with an MS in Health Care Management, and then was appointed by Governor Brown as Chair of the Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists, wherein he navigated the interesting era of COVID-response expanded telehealth services. Shortly after his appointment, following ten years with Cascadia, Matthew accepted the Behavior Health Operations Manager position at CareOregon. This past September, he transitioned to the Dental Department. And we’re happy to have him.
When he isn’t working operations magic, Matt and his lovely wife Leah enjoy traveling and hiking locally with their son Solomon (who just turned 5 – happy birthday, lil guy!) and Harvey, their “90-pound-puppy,” a one-year-old Labernese (Labrador-Bernese mix).
